EuroMillions Superdraw Jackpot Rolls Over To £127 Million
There was no winner of the £114 million Superdraw jackpot on Friday night, though more than 950,000 EuroMillions players from the UK did pick up prizes.
The numbers, drawn in Paris as usual at the headquarters of the French National Lottery, were 3, 6, 8, 24 and 50, with Lucky Stars 10 and 11.
No tickets matched the full winning line, but nine players across Europe had all five main numbers plus one of the Lucky Stars. Two of them were from the UK, netting each player £97,756.
The winning Millionaire Maker code was MQMB90850, so one UK player did land £1 million. The other prizes won ranged from £2.30 for matching two numbers to £8,940 for matching five. The EuroMillions Results page has a full prize breakdown.
The jackpot for Friday night had been so high because it was a Superdraw, a special promotion which is funded by the EuroMillions Reserve Fund rather than having to rely on rollovers to build up the prize pot.
There are only usually four Superdraws a year, and they often pave the way for record-breaking wins if nobody manages to win on the night. Last summer, a Superdraw jackpot rolled over all the way to £195 million before someone from the UK won.
The jackpot cap increased after that win from €230 million to €240 million (approximately £212 million), so there is now the potential for the top prize to go beyond £200 million for the first time in history.
EuroMillions calculates the jackpot in Euros as that is the currency of seven of the nine participating countries. The prize for UK players (and Swiss - francs) is then announced on the day based on the current exchange rate.
You can take part in the next EuroMillions draw online, or pick up tickets from authorised National Lottery retailers.
