A EuroMillions jackpot of over £38 million has been won by a single ticket, sold in the UK. The winner has not yet come forward, but they are the third UK EuroMillions winner in 2019 to stake a claim to the entire jackpot.

The winning numbers for the draw on Tuesday 23rd April were 18, 23, 27, 42, and 44, with Lucky Stars 02 and 07. One as-yet-unknown player has matched all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars, in order to win the £38 million prize.

Camelot have not yet revealed the location of the winning ticket, but a spokesperson has advised EuroMillions players across the country to check their tickets against the winning numbers. Andy Carter, the senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery had this to say of the win: “One very lucky ticket holder has scooped tonight's £38 million EuroMillions jackpot. Players all across the country are now urged to check their tickets to be in with a chance of claiming this amazing prize. It's certainly proving to be a lucky year for UK EuroMillions players."

Big UK Wins in 2019

The EuroMillions jackpot win is the latest in a string of jackpots won in the UK, by a single ticket. In January 2019, Patrick and Frances Connolly of Northern Ireland won the entirety of a £114.9 million jackpot after entering the New Years’ Day EuroMillions draw.

Only three months later, steel worker Ade Goodchild laid the sole claim to a £71 million Euromillions jackpot; in a statement, he welcomed his early retirement from shift work, and joked that the jackpot win “bloody well would” change him.

The winner of Tuesday’s £38 million jackpot has 180 days to claim their prize, and must do so by calling the National Lottery at 0333 234 50 50.
