British Lottery Players Scoop Jackpots!
Updated: Monday 20th February 2017
British lottery players are celebrating after landing jackpots in both the EuroMillions draw on Friday and the Lotto game on Saturday. This means that the UK has now scored back-to-back wins in EuroMillions, and the jackpot win in our national game ended a Lotto rollover sequence of five draws without a win.
The EuroMillions results on Friday 17 February were 19, 25, 33, 36 and 48, and the Lucky Stars were 02 and 09. The final value of the jackpot was £14,509,500, and the only ticket to match all seven numbers was the one purchased in the UK, so the lucky owner of that entry scooped the entire sum outright. More than 1.72 million EuroMillions tickets won consolation prizes, and two UK entries won £1 million each by matching one of the Millionaire Maker codes, which were XCQS31881 and ZDQX57144.
With the jackpot having been landed for the second time in a row, the top prize value has been reset once more and the EuroMillions jackpot on Tuesday 21 February will again be worth around £14 million. Even better, this week is Mega Week for UK players, so there will be five Millionaire Maker winners of £1 million in each of the draws on Tuesday and Friday, and every one of those ten winners will also get to enjoy a luxury Hawaiian Adventure.
The Lotto results on Saturday 18 February were 11, 13, 21, 37, 49 and 59, and the Bonus Ball was 04. The jackpot in this game was also won by a single ticket, and the amount won in this case was £15,342,900. Three players won £28,352 by matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, and more than 1.34 million players won smaller prizes.
In addition to all of that, one Lotto player won £1 million by matching the Lotto Millionaire Raffle code AQUA 5681 4988, and 20 tickets won £20,000 each in the Lotto Raffle draw. The next Lotto draw on Wednesday 22 February will now offer a brand new jackpot of around £2 million, as well as another Lotto Millionaire Raffle prize of £1 million and 20 more Lotto Raffle prizes of £20,000 each.
Congratulations to both of the players who landed the jackpots in the most recent games, and the very best of luck to those of you who will be having a go at achieving a similar result in the week ahead!
