The date has been set for the first EuroMillions Superdraw of 2025, when the jackpot is guaranteed to be raised to more than £100 million.

The nine participating national lotteries come together to decide when these special events take place - there are usually four every year - and the next one on the schedule will happen on Friday 7th March.

For this Superdraw, the jackpot will be €130 million, which equates to around £110 million. EuroMillions jackpots are always set in Euros as this is the currency of most of the participating countries, and then it is converted into pounds sterling on the day of the draw.

The nine-figure jackpot is guaranteed, even if there is a winner in the preceding draw, as the money for Superdraws comes from a Reserve Fund. This means that you know in advance when a huge prize is going to be up for grabs, without having to wait for a run of rollovers.

Superdraws themselves work exactly the same as regular draws, apart from the enhanced top prize, so there is no extra cost and your odds of winning do not change. If nobody wins the jackpot, it will roll over and an even larger amount will be offered in the following draw.

It is possible that the jackpot could even reach its limit of €250 million (approximately £210 million) and set a new record for the biggest win of all time.

UK Success in Superdraws

The UK has traditionally enjoyed a lot of success in EuroMillions Superdraws. While there has not been a UK winner on the night of a Superdraw since 2023, the first one of 2024 did lead to a big payout in the next draw. Richard and Debbie Nuttall, from Colne in Lancashire, landed £61 million after sharing the jackpot with a ticket holder from Spain.

Back in the summer of 2022, a Superdraw rollover resulted in the largest UK win ever a few weeks later, when an anonymous player pocketed £195 million.
