Updated: Monday 2nd October 2023
It was a lucky weekend for EuroMillions and Lotto participants as both jackpots were won. The EuroMillions winning ticket was sold in France while the location of where the Lotto ticket was purchased is yet to be confirmed.
France celebrated on Friday, 29th September its second big win this month and the ninth-largest gain in the history of FDJ (France’s national lottery operator). This is the 124th jackpot won by France overall.
The winning numbers for the EuroMillions Superdraw were 9, 11, 13, 21, 32, with the Lucky Stars 2 and 7. With high ticket sales brought by the announcement of a Superdraw happening, there were over four million winners in total. At the moment, the location of where exactly in France the ticket was purchased is unknown but it would soon be confirmed by the lottery officials. The winner will have 60 days to come forward and claim the jackpot. When they claim the prize, they will also have to decide whether they’ll remain anonymous or reveal their identity. Thankfully, EuroMillions players from all nine participating countries have the right to anonymity.
The EuroMillions jackpot has now been reset to its base amount of €17 million (approximately £14 million).
A day later after the EuroMillions draw took place, the Lotto jackpot worth £3.8 million was also won. The winning numbers were 1, 8, 14, 20, 24, 40 and 52. Two other players matched five numbers plus the Bonus Ball, 52 and won £1 million each.
With EuroMillions and Lotto, you have four draws a week you can enter. The EuroMillions draws take place on Tuesday and Friday evenings while the Lotto ones happen on Wednesdays and Saturdays. For a chance to win, you can enter online or join a syndicate.
