EuroMillions Jackpot Is Now the Biggest Ever
No EuroMillions participant was lucky enough to match all seven winning numbers and bag the £187 million jackpot that was on offer last night. The next jackpot is estimated to be approximately £201 million, making it the biggest EuroMillions prize in the history of the game.
The special Superdraw first took place on Friday 1st December with a guaranteed increased jackpot of £170 million. As there was no grand prize winner, the jackpot rolled over and reached £187 million for last night’s draw. No tickets matched all seven winning numbers, therefore the jackpot climbed up to £201 million (approximately €240 million).
The winning numbers for the Tuesday 5th December draw were 4, 6, 20, 24 and 25, with Lucky Stars 5 and 9. The Millionaire Maker code was VPCN 94730 and whoever matched it took home £1 million. Check the latest draw breakdown for more information.
Two UK ticket holders were one Lucky Star away from winning the huge jackpot. As they matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star, they each got £100,913.60. They weren’t the only second-tier prize winners as there were six players from other participating countries who were also very close to getting the jackpot.
With its newly-estimated amount, the current jackpot has reached the €240 million cap set in July 2022. If it’s won in the next draw, the cap will be increased to €250 million. If it’s not won for four consecutive draws, on the fifth draw the jackpot will roll down and it will be shared equally between the winners in the lower prize tier.
Big EuroMillions Jackpots Won in the UK
2022 seems to have been a lucky year for the UK as many big jackpots were won. The previous biggest EuroMillions jackpot, worth £195 million, was won in the UK by an anonymous player on 19th July 2022. The third-biggest jackpot ever was also brought home in the UK by couple Joe and Jess Thwaite of Gloucester who won £184 million on 10th May 2022.
