The Lotto jackpot rolled over for the third draw in a row last Saturday night, and that means players in the next game this Wednesday 30 August will have the chance to land a top prize worth around £9.8 million.

There was no such rollover in the EuroMillions game on Friday, because one British ticket succeeded in matching all seven of the numbers drawn to win a jackpot worth £15,735,200. The EuroMillions results which delivered the UK jackpot win on Friday 25 August were 01, 05, 07, 15 and 47, along with the Lucky Star numbers 09 and 12.

Assuming they are already aware of their good fortune, the UK jackpot winner will probably be spending their Bank Holiday Monday wondering whether or not to go public with their win. Whatever their decision, we congratulate them on their success, and wish them the very best for the future.

More than 1.92 million smaller prizes were won by EuroMillions players on Friday, and more than 419,000 of those were landed by players in the UK, including one of two tickets which matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars to secure a second tier prize of £304,858 each. In addition, a prize of £1 million was won by two players who matched one of the Millionaire Maker codes, which were HVQR65535 and TVQP66669. The next EuroMillions game this Tuesday 29 August will once again be worth an estimated £15 million, but Lotto on Wednesday is also one that will interest anyone who dreams of becoming a multimillionaire overnight.
