The Lotto jackpot was won for the second time in four draws on Wednesday night, as one lucky player brought February to an end in fine style by scooping £6.7 million.

The numbers drawn last night were 9, 10, 27, 30, 33 and 45, with Bonus Ball 29. Along with the jackpot winner, there were more than 850,000 prizes given away, ranging from a free Lotto Lucky Dip for matching two main numbers to £21,893 for matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball.
The winning Lotto Millionaire Raffle code was PLUM 1592 1867, instantly netting the player with a matching ticket £1 million. Take a look at the Lotto Results page to see a list of the other 20 Lotto Raffle codes, worth £20,000 each, as well as a full breakdown of prizes from the main Lotto game.
Jackpot Wins
The Lotto jackpot had previously been won on Saturday 17th February. A couple from Bristol came forward to claim the £18.1 million prize, making a small piece of history as the oldest winners in the game’s history.
Dennis Banfield, 87, and his 83-year-old wife Shirley had always joked that they would win the jackpot one day, but could not contain their emotions when they attended a media conference last week to share their story. Dennis said all that had ever mattered to the couple was that their daughters were okay.
He is now thinking about buying a new car, although he has admitted that he may also need to ‘get a chauffeur’ to go with it due to a bad knee. Dennis is also keen to buy himself a new suit, while daughter Tina is looking forward to attending some major sporting events such as a Grand Prix and possibly the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Publicity
While Dennis and Shirley decided to go public, the winner of the £6.7 million from Wednesday night can decide to stay anonymous if they wish. They have 180 days to come forward and claim their prize, but they can already start to think about how they would like to spend their money.
It may be that they want to brush up on their sartorial elegance in the same way that Dennis does, or perhaps open a snow plough business to help travellers who have to battle wintry conditions.
If the snow currently sweeping across the UK is making it hard for you to get to an authorised retailer and buy a ticket, you can take part online ahead of the next draw to give yourself a chance of winning Saturday’s jackpot. Good luck!
