Updated: Wednesday 11th May 2022
The EuroMillions draw on Tuesday 10th May produced a jackpot winner for the first time in seven weeks, as a single player from the UK pocketed £184 million.
Among all the millions of entries into the draw from across Europe, only one ticket matched all seven numbers on the winning line – 3, 25, 27, 28 and 29 as the main numbers, plus Lucky Stars 4 and 9.
It was announced shortly after the draw that the jackpot-winning ticket was sold in the UK, making it the largest lottery prize to ever be given away in the UK.
They have wasted no time in coming forward, submitting a claim for the jackpot the very next day. It remains to be seen whether they go public or not.
In total there were more than 1 million prizes won in the UK, adding up to more than £187 million.See a table of all the EuroMillions prizes paid out on a historic night.
The latest jackpot winner takes the title of the UK’s biggest of all time, surpassing an anonymous player from October 2019 who scooped £170 million.
They also go above some of the most famous payouts in UK history. Colin and Chris Weir landed £161 million in July 2011, while Adrian and Gillian Bayford scooped £148 million the following year.
If the jackpot had rolled over, it would have hits its cap of €230 million (approximately £195 million) in the next draw on Friday. Instead, the top prize for the next draw will be worth around £14 million. You can get involved online or by going to an authorised retailer.
