Two ticket holders shared Saturday’s £15 million Must Be Won jackpot, with each of them taking home £7.5 million. The wait is now on for the winners to step forward and claim their prize money.
Special £15M Must Be Won Jackpot
Saturday’s £15 million Lotto jackpot was guaranteed to be given away, even if no one matched all six numbers. The National Lottery announced earlier in the month that the special Must Be Won draw would take place and the jackpot would be boosted to its eight-figure amount.
The winning numbers from the Lotto draw on Saturday 27th June were 2, 15, 19, 33, 37, 43, and Bonus Ball 12. There were over 1.5 million winning tickets, including the two jackpot winners. It is the first time that the Lotto jackpot has been split between multiple winners since 18th March 2020 (not including rolldowns).
Camelot’s senior winners’ advisor Andy Clarke said: "What amazing news for two ticket-holders who are sharing tonight's £15 million 'Must Be Won' Lotto jackpot. Each of these lucky winners has scooped £7.5 million. We're urging players to check their tickets online to see if they might be one of Lotto's latest big winners."
The winners have 180 days from the date of the winning draw to claim their prize money. They will have the option of going public with the win or remaining anonymous, in which case their identities will not be disclosed. If you have a ticket from Saturday’s draw - or any other Lotto draw in the last 180 days - you can find out whether it’s a winner by using the Lotto Results Checker.
It was the second Must Be Won draw to take place in the space of a week. In the previous draw on Wednesday 24th June the jackpot had already rolled over five times so the prize money had to be given away, in accordance with the National Lottery’s current rollover rules. The £12.8 million jackpot on offer in that draw rolled down to be shared between nearly 80,000 winners in other prize tiers.
The Next EuroMillions Superdraw Is on 3rd July
The big prizes are set to continue this week, as the next EuroMillions Superdraw is scheduled to take place on Friday 3rd July. A jackpot worth a guaranteed €130 million (around £118 million) will be on offer to players in the UK and the eight other participating countries.
It’s the second Superdraw so far in 2020, after another €130 million event took place on 7th February. One lucky ticket holder from Spain matched all the numbers on the night to win the entire jackpot.
To enter Friday’s Superdraw all you need to do is purchase an entry for the draw - either in-store or online. That’s all there is to it. Once you have your ticket keep an eye on the EuroMillions Results page after the draw as the winning numbers and Millionaire Maker raffle code will be added there as soon as they have been confirmed.
