UK EuroMillions Winner Claims £111 Million Jackpot
Updated: Monday 5th June 2023
The UK player who won Friday’s £111 million Superdraw jackpot has wasted no time in coming forward to claim their gigantic prize.
The lucky winner matched the numbers 3, 12, 15, 25 and 43, plus Lucky Stars 10 and 11, in the special Super Jackpot draw on 2nd June.
It was the only ticket across the whole of Europe to match all the numbers, although there were 3.4 million other prizes paid out, including more than 887,000 in the UK.
The claim period is 180 days from the date of a draw, so the big winner had until 29th November to make contact with the National Lottery, but they did not even wait until the end of the weekend.
It has been confirmed that a claim has already been staked, which will now go through a process of validation. Once this has happened, the winner will receive their money and they can decide whether to share the news or stay private.
Andy Carter, the National Lottery’s Senior Winners’ Advisor, said: “It is wonderful news that a lucky ticket holder has claimed this incredible prize.”
It is the 122nd time that a UK player has won a EuroMillions jackpot, and the 18th time that someone from the country has won more than £100 million.
It is also the biggest UK win of the year so far, although a British ticket holder did pocket a third of a jackpot worth £138 million on 5th May.
A UK player landed £195 million in July last year, setting a new record for the largest EuroMillions prize ever won. The lottery was launched back in 2004.
You can keep up to date with the latest EuroMillions Results every Tuesday and Friday night after draws take place.
