UK Player Wins EuroMillions Superdraw!
Updated: Monday 23rd July 2018
Lottery dreams really can come true, and anyone wanting proof of that need only look to last Friday’s EuroMillions game, in which one player in the UK matched all seven of the numbers that were drawn to win a Superdraw jackpot worth a staggering £87,570,000.
Friday’s jackpot win was the second largest of 2017, and gave the UK its third top prize success in the last six months. For players who have yet to check the results, the main numbers drawn on Friday 30 June were 17, 35, 39, 47 and 50, and the Lucky Stars were 06 and 08. Regular readers will be encouraged to note that three of those numbers had previously been highlighted on our EuroMillions Statistics page, with the main numbers 47 and 50 having been amongst the most overdue and the number 17 one of the most common.
The UK has now joined Portugal and Spain as one of the countries to have landed three EuroMillions jackpots since the new rules were introduced in September 2016. Only Belgium and France have fared better, with four wins each, so there is still plenty of time for Brits to improve their tally even further, and it will be very interesting to see which nation comes out on top at the end of the year.
We will have to wait and see whether Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot winner chooses to go public, but they weren’t the only player to have cause to celebrate by any means. More than 3.05 million prizes were won in total, and the combined amount of cash landed by players in the UK exceeded £91.23 million. In addition, two UK players each won £1 million by matching one of the Millionaire Maker numbers, which were HBKQ26556 and MBKN20063.
With the Superdraw jackpot now in the bag, the next EuroMillions game this Tuesday 4 July will offer a brand new top prize of around £14 million. The most overdue numbers are now 46, 01, 34, 13 and 32, along with the Lucky Stars 05 and 02, and the most common numbers are 20, 17, 27, 10 and 44, along with the Lucky Star numbers 09 and 03.
The brand new EuroMillions jackpot on Tuesday is more than big enough to get the new month off to an exciting start, but it should also be noted that the Lotto game this Wednesday 5 July will offer a double rollover jackpot worth around £7.1 million, so do look at that if you fancy your chances.
We congratulate Friday’s EuroMillions winner, and we are sure that lottery players everywhere will appreciate the latest reminder that jackpot-winning dreams are perfectly achievable. Choose your numbers today to give yourself a chance of winning big in the next EuroMillions game, and good luck!
