UK Wins First EuroMillions Jackpot of 2017!
Updated: Wednesday 15th February 2017
Two tickets shared the EuroMillions jackpot on Tuesday 14 February, and we can confirm that one of the winning entries had been purchased in the UK, giving our nation its first jackpot win of 2017. The UK win was also the first since the EuroMillions rules were changed in September 2016, so players will be hoping that this success could represent the beginning of a lucky streak for British participants.
The EuroMillions results which made jackpot dreams come true on Tuesday 14 February were 02, 10, 24, 40 and 44, along with the Lucky Star numbers 03 and 10. The jackpot had a final value of £39,975,922, so the UK winner will be able to claim the sum of £19,987,961, and the other winner, who is in Belgium, receives the equivalent in euros.
As always, two more UK players each won £1 million by matching one of the Millionaire Maker codes, which were HCQM49983 and HCQT54057, so be sure to check the codes on your own tickets if you haven’t done so already. The full schedule of results for the Tuesday draw can be found on our EuroMillions Results page.
The jackpot for the next EuroMillions draw this Friday 17 February has been reset, and is therefore expected to be worth around £14 million. Our EuroMillions Statistics page reveals that the most overdue main numbers as we head towards that draw are 09, 36, 42, 33 and 12, whilst the most overdue Lucky Stars are 12 and 01.
Lottery fans who don’t want to wait until Friday to win big won’t have to, because the midweek Lotto jackpot this evening will have an estimated value of £12 million. The most overdue numbers for that game are 57, 56, 24, 12, 38 and 01, so it will be interesting to see if any of those come up. Whatever happens in the main game, one player is sure to land a prize of £1 million in the Lotto Millionaire Raffle draw, and 20 prizes of £20,000 each will be awarded in the Lotto Raffle draw.
We congratulate both of the winners of last night’s EuroMillions jackpot, and we look forward to seeing if the UK winner in particular chooses to celebrate their success by going public. In the meantime, good luck to those of you who will be having a go at winning a life-changing jackpot of your own in the £12 million Lotto game this evening, be sure to let us know if you win big!
