Will April Prove Lucky for EuroMillions Players?
Updated: Tuesday 28th April 2020
As the fourth month of 2018 begins, EuroMillions players in each of the nine participating nations will hope the new month brings good luck for their favourite lottery. But how lucky is April for EuroMillions players and what is there to look forward to when it comes to the biggest pan-European game?
How Lucky is April?
The month traditionally begins with April Fools Day and, usually, it doesn’t get much better for EuroMillions players. April accounts for just 27 of the 383 jackpot wins since the game began in 2004. This makes it the third least successful month, behind August (26 wins) and December (25 wins).
The most successful month of the year, in terms of creating EuroMillions winners, is September with 40 successes. It is followed by January (39) and February (36).
April Winners
Of course, there is no such thing as a lucky month, and it is just as possible to hit the EuroMillions jackpot in April as it is in September. Every EuroMillions line has as much chance of winning as any other and players do hit gold in April.
April 2017 saw a family from Dijon in France collect £70.8 million, whilst a UK winner claimed £51.8 million in April 2016.
April EuroMillions Superdraw
This April could turn out to be extremely lucky for EuroMillions players with the next Superdraw taking place on Friday 20th. The draw will come with a guaranteed €130 million (approximately £113 million, depending on the exchange rate) that could well be won on the night. If no one strikes gold, the full amount rolls over and grows until someone matches all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars.
This is the first time there has been an April EuroMillions Superdraw and could bring you riches beyond your wildest dreams in this so-called unlucky month.
EuroMillions Jackpot
The current EuroMillions jackpot stands at £58 million for Tuesday night and you can buy tickets until 7:30pm. Alternatively, join in online for an easy, safe and secure way to put yourself in the frame for an eight-figure payout. See the Lottery Tickets page for more information. Good luck!
