How to Play
How many numbers do you have to pick?
In EuroMillions HotPicks, it is up to you how many numbers you choose, from a minimum of one to a maximum of five. Just specify how many numbers you are picking and select your numbers from a choice of 1 to 50, or opt for a Lucky Dip.
What is the different between Pick 1 and Pick 5?
When you play EuroMillion HotPicks, you choose how many numbers you want to play; the caveat is that you have to match them all to win a prize. If you play Pick 1, for instance, you choose one number and must match it with one of the winning numbers. If you play Pick 5, you choose five numbers and must match them all with the winning numbers.
How much does it cost to play?
It costs £1.50 to play EuroMillions HotPicks. The price is the same for each game, whether you play Pick 1, Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 4 or Pick 5.
Can you play different games on one ticket?
Yes, you can select up to five lines on one play slip and you do not have to enter the same game. You could therefore play a full combination of Pick 1 to Pick 5 on a single play slip, at a total cost of £7.50.
When do draws take place?
The winning EuroMillions HotPicks numbers are taken from the main EuroMillions game. The five main balls are used as the winning line – the Lucky Stars are not used for HotPicks. Draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays at approximately 20:00 GMT.
When do ticket sales close?
You must purchase tickets before 19:30 GMT on Tuesdays and Fridays to enter the draw on that particular night. If you miss the cut-off time, you must wait until sales reopen for the following draw.
Do you have to play EuroMillions to enter EuroMillions HotPicks?
No. Although the two games use the same winning numbers, they are separate to each other so you can play one or the other, or both.
Is EuroMillions HotPicks played in other countries?
No. The UK is the only country where National Lottery retailers sell EuroMillions HotPicks tickets.
Can you cancel an entry?
Under normal circumstances, EuroMillions HotPicks entries cannot be cancelled. However, if you play online and are given two or more identical Lucky Dip selections, you can contact National Lottery operator Allwyn’s customer care team. At Allwyn’s discretion, the money spent on the duplicate entry may be refunded into your account.
Prize Information
How do you win prizes?
To win a EuroMillions HotPicks prize, all the numbers you choose must be drawn among the winning numbers. For example, if you play Pick 3, you only win if all three of your numbers are drawn. You don’t win a prize for matching one or two numbers in Pick 3.
How much do you win?
The prize depends on the game you play. You receive £10 if you win Pick 1, while you bank £1 million for winning Pick 5.
Is the £1 million split if there’s more than one winner?
All the prizes are fixed so you receive the advertised amount even if there is more than one winner. However, there is a maximum prize fund in place for each game and in exceptional circumstances it may be that winners receive a share of this prize fund rather than the advertised prize. Go to the EuroMillions HotPicks Prizes page for more information.
Does the £1 million roll over if nobody wins?
No. The prize for the Pick 5 game is £1 million in every draw. None of the prizes in EuroMillions HotPicks roll over.
What are the odds of winning?
The odds are different for each of the five games. The chances of winning Pick 1, for example, are 1 in 10, while the chances of winning Pick 5 are 1 in 2,118,760. See the Odds page to learn more.
How long do you have to claim prizes?
The claim deadline for EuroMillions HotPicks prizes is 180 days from the date of the draw. If you do not come forward in time, the money will be transferred to the Good Causes Fund. Visit the Claiming Prizes page for more on how to receive your winnings.
